Q. What happened to the bleachers that were in the Marquee?
A. They were condemned, not being replaced.

Q. Will the Hari Krishas ever return?
A. No, they found another festival to go to on the same weekend.

Q. Where is the Lost and Found?
A. At the Gate, in the ticket office.

Q. What kitchen facilities are available to campers now that the old kitchen is being used by the caterers?
A. There are no alternative locations on the festival site for these activities. Water taps are located around the site. 

Q. What am I responsible for if I hire a caravan for the weekend, Where can I tell them to park and can I be assured that I will have an electrical hookup?
A. All caravans must park in the designated area as  shown on the festival site map. Due to power restrictions on supply to Kumeu site there are no electrical outlets available for use on site, Additionally, please understand that when hiring a caravan from Smileys, or anyone else, that the contract is between you and Smileys. Please do not contact festival committee members regarding this arrangement.

Q. How many people does it take to run the festival?
A. The festival is run by a voluntary committee of around 10 people. These people meet once a month all year round to do the planning and pre organizing. On the actual weekend there are people who volunteer their time to help run the festival with things like, cleaning, setting up and looking after guests etc.


Q. Who founded the festival, and who is responsible for it now?
A. Frank Winter, from the Poles Apart Folk Club. For more on Frank Winter click here The festival is run by a committee of volunteers who are all representatives from the Auckland Folk Clubs including Titirangi Folk Club, Devonport Folk Club, Tir Na N'og folk Club, Auckland Bluegrass Club, and City of Auckland Morris Dancers. There are also other volunteers on the committee who assist with other things.

Q. What happens if it rains on the weekend?
A. The festival goes ahead as planned, etc.

Q. Can we extend the main tent?
A. The committee has followed up enquiries about extending the main tent but the only way it can be made larger is by making it longer, and we feel that there is a limit on how far away we can seat the audience before they start missing out.

Q. How is the festival committee responding to recycling requests?
A. The festival committee are  looking into a solution for the recycling, it is an ongoing issue.
